Bemis, a family-owned company with deep roots in Sheboygan County, has signed on as a sponsor of the festival’s inaugural event this October.
Founded in 1901 and headquartered in Sheboygan Falls, Bemis is a global leader in bathroom products and plastics manufacturing, but it is equally well known for its commitment to the local community.
“At Bemis, leadership is humble in their approach to giving back, but they do so much good in our community. Their sponsorship is a strong statement about how legacy companies can play a role in supporting arts and culture at the local level,” said Festival Chair Beah Travis.
For Bemis, supporting the Sheboygan Film Festival reflects its philosophy of stewardship and community partnership. Erica Spatz, Director of Marketing, emphasized that the company’s employees live and work in the region, making it natural for Bemis to invest in local initiatives.
“Supporting events like the Sheboygan Film Festival is a way the company can give back—not just to our team, but to the whole community. It's important to help create meaningful experiences and entertainment outside of work,” Spatz said.
