The selection process was highly competitive, with over 320 films submitted, including 42 international entries from 22 countries and Puerto Rico. Among the chosen works are about 20 films from Wisconsin filmmakers and seven with direct ties to Sheboygan. The festival is also proud to include 30 films created for children and a dozen made by filmmakers 18 and under, highlighting the breadth of talent and creativity represented.

Attendees will enjoy a diverse international lineup with films from places such as Australia, France, Nigeria, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. This mix ensures that audiences will have a chance to see unique stories and perspectives from around the globe while celebrating homegrown talent.

Opening night at the Weill Center promises to be a highlight, featuring a red carpet, photo opportunities, a cocktail party, and the screening of “John Candy: I Like Me,” directed by Colin Hanks and produced by Ryan Reynolds. The festival will close with a special 30th anniversary screening of “Dead Man Walking,” starring Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn, directed by Tim Robbins.

Tickets and passes are on sale now.
